This program looks good, I plan on doing this when I receive my doctors approval after my shoulder recovery. The fact that you use no weights works for me for now.
i am new to insanity and i was wondering if i am only suppsoe to do one dvd per day followign the calander. like if its pure cardio today do i only do that disc once? and then i am done for the day?
I LOVE to hate INSANITY!! LOL. its the best thing ive done! in january of 2008 i joined a gym after getting my wedding photos back from october 2007..and i was 150 lbs (5’5”)!! “heavy” for me, as i had been an athlete since i was 13 years old! i got married, got comfy, got lazy.
in a year, i had lost 30 lbs. no supplements, no help..just hoofing it at the gym. BUT, i began to plateau. the treadmill was boring, the bike hurt my butt and the eliptical made my feet fall asleep. i did crunches, captains chairs, yoga balls, stack sets, lunges, squats..same results, good shape..but nothing morem nothing less!! i did related dvd workouts without success. They failed to keep me motivated, were too long and didnt keep my interest. i even took it to another level and joined another gym to change it up. that jump started me but soon fizzled when they introduced PIZZA night on every first monday of the month?! oh sure, just what i need.. to smell pizza on my way in for a workout!
i borrowed INSANITY from my brother in law..and IM NEVER returning it! im on day 23 and feeling great!! i have not lost weight (ive already lost all my weight and maintained it as above) BUT i have shed inches, gained strength, agility, and im gettting some AWESOME toning results!! the “meat” between my ribs hurts! my stomach is toning by the day. the little belly fat i had left seems to melt during the workout (okay, totally exaggerated but seems like it). i look forward to recovery day because its indeed a great “recovery” but its not by any means a day off..i wake up sore the next day as if i spent two hours at the gym.. sometimes im even sad on Sundays because its a “legit” day off.
if you’re an athlete, gym rat (like me) a new mom or dad who gained sympathy weight..young, old..big or small…JUST TRY IT! you have nothing to lose but weight and inches..and if nothing else..gain a few new pairs of jeans and swimsuits!! and most importantly..FEELING WONDERFUL ABOUT YOURSELF! crawling into the shower after a workout when you look like you’ve already taken one because you are soaked to the bone!!
looking forward to my last 7 days of month one..and staring month two. who knows..i MAY just do another round from the top!!
